Ralph Foulks

 

 

Ralph Foulks, NJ, WWII, US NAVY, served aboard the USS Hornet (CV-12). As an SB2C Helldiver radio operator/gunner, he was shot down while bombing the Japanese battleship Yamato during the battle of Okinawa. Rescued by a destroyer, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.
